TC Architects - About Us
SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE
For over fifty-eight years, TC Architects has been involved in “Green” architecture with the design of sustainable, energy efficient, and environmentally friendly buildings. We have consistently designed high performance buildings that are cost effective to build, operate, and maintain with low impact to the environment. For our commitment to sustainable design, TC Architects was awarded the 2008, Green Chamber of Commerce Impact Award for the Environment.
TC Architects is a proud member of the US Green Building Council, Greater Cleveland Green Building Coalition, and Cleveland Chapter of the AIA’s Committee on the Environment (COTE). We currently have two LEED Accredited Professionals on our staff who continually attend national conferences and local seminars, as well as receiving a variety of publications which allow them to stay knowledgeable with the latest products and technologies.
Susan Allen, AIA, ASID, LEED AP, in particular, has been a presenter at the Akron Zoological Park’s Green Day events since 2004 and at the first Ohio Zoo Consortium Green Symposium in the Fall of 2006. She was a guest speaker at the Association of Zoological Horticulture and the Aquarium & Zoo Facilities Association’s conference in 2008. She was recently a guest speaker for the Ohio Green Tour that came through Akron in October of 2008.
