AKRON GENERAL HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER WEST EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

TC Architects worked with Akron General to expand the services they offer at their Health and Wellness Center - West. The 20,100 s.f. addition houses a 15 bed emergency department, operated in conjunction with Akron Children’s Hospital. The expansion also includes an 8 bed short term observation component, as well as 3,800 s.f. of medical support services. The 24 hour Emergency Department was opened to the public in August of 2009.
