AKRON GENERAL HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER WEST
TC Architects provided complete Architectural services for this 197,800 square foot Health & Wellness Center in Bath Township, Ohio. It is a model of medical and wellness integration bringing together fitness/wellness membership programs, physical therapy, sports medicine, cardio pulmonary rehabilitation, women’s programs, diagnostic services, outpatient surgery, physicians’ offices, and conference facilities.
Integration at all levels of operation and administration is essential for the success of this comprehensive approach to health care delivery. The physical environment promotes true integration of programs and services through creative space planning and design development. The medically based fitness facility effectively supports the sharing of staff, equipment, building amenities, and exercise/recreational areas such as pools, gymnasium, aerobic studios, weight training, and locker rooms, while also providing the most current technology in diagnostic and outpatient surgical facilities.
