AKRON METROPOLITAN HOUSING AUTHORITY - EDGEWOOD VILLAGE HOPE VI - PHASE II & III

As part of the Edgewood Village Hope VI Revitalization, Edgewood Village Phase II & III involves the new construction of a 50-unit affordable housing rental property neighborhood consisting of two- and three-bedroom townhomes.

Mirroring Phases I & IV, these homes were designed with spacious floor plans that bring families together.  Walkable neighborhoods provide the residents a convenient opportunity to access services in the community.

The Edgewood Village Phase II & III is an urban infill site within an established neighborhood, consisting of a variety of uses including residential, commercial, and public facilities.

Edgewood Village Phase II & III is designated as a Green Community. The affordable housing development promotes energy efficiency by including appliances and fixtures that conserve water and electricity.  TC Architects’ design promotes a healthy living environment by incorporating ‘green’ construction materials.

Throughout the design of Edgewood Village Phase II & III, TC Architects incorporated the use of 20% recycled materials, healthy material selection, planting choices that reduce heat-island effect, permeable walkways and parking areas that allow for water absorption.
