AKRON METROPOLITAN HOUSING AUTHORITY - EDGEWOOD VILLAGE HOPE VI - PHASE V, MARIAN HALL
TC Architects provided architectural services for Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority’s Edgewood Village Hope VI multi-phased revitalization project, which provides a total of 226 affordable housing units.
This phase of the project, Phase V, provides 48-units (11 one-bedroom and 37 two-bedroom) in a four-story structure.
The style reflects the craftsman architecture used on the surrounding townhomes. The first floor of the building provides various spaces for social interaction and houses resident services, including a lobby, a mail area, a lounge, offices, a library, a health and wellness center, and a dividable community room.
The affordable housing building and all of the apartments are visitable and adaptable. In addition, 19 percent of the apartments are designed to be fully-accessible.
