EHDOC - MAYFIELD MANOR RENOVATION

TC Architects provided architectural and interior design services for comprehensive improvements to Mayfield Manor I.  The 144 affordable senior housing units will include 7 handicapped-accessible units and 2 sight- and hearing-impaired units. 
 
The first floor office, reception, mailboxes, and mailroom will be remodeled.  The community room will have new appliances and both elevators will be renovated and refurbished.  All plumbing fixtures in the public toilet rooms will be replaced as required.
 
New floor finishes will be installed throughout the affordable senior housing building and interior wall surfaces will be painted.  New horizontal mini-blinds will be provided at all windows, in both apartments and common areas.  New vertical blinds will be installed at all sliding glass doors.
 
Existing site lighting will be replaced with new poles and metal halide fixtures.  Interior lighting fixtures will also be replaced with ENERGY STAR®-rated lighting.
 
The existing intercom system to the front entrance will be replaced with a new system to provide the capability of opening the front door from the office.  A new electronic door operating system activated by key fob will be installed.  A computer system will be provided to monitor ingress and egress in the affordable senior housing facility.
 
Brick masonry walls at and around the first floor of the building will be cleaned, tuck-pointed and repaired.
