CUYAHOGA METROPOLITAN HOUSING AUTHORITY ROOFING REPLACEMENT

TC Architects is working with Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority on roof replacements at four of their properties. 

Beachcrest Golden Age Center includes the removal and replacement of approximately fifty squares of existing EPDM roof and eight polycarbonate skylights that have reached the end of their lifecycles.  Sheet metal work includes the replacement of five hundred lineal feet of coping and counterflashing. 

Lakeview Terrace includes tear-off and re-roofing of four mid-rise apartment buildings in the Lakeview Terrace complex.  Roofing work includes the removal and replacement of approximately ninety squares of existing built-up roofing and a bonded lightning protection system.  Masonry and concrete restoration includes repair of the existing brick façade from the roof line to the parapets and restoration and sealing of pre-cast concrete balcony overhangs.   Metal siding panel work is also included.  New roofing is a two-ply SBS-modified asphalt system with granulated cap sheet.  Removal of asbestos-containing flashing and caulking is also included in the scope of work.

Outhwaite Homes includes the tear-off and re-roofing of three mid-rise apartment buildings in the Outhwaite Homes complex.  Roofing work includes the removal and replacement of approximately one hundred-twenty squares of built-up roofing.  Masonry restoration includes repair of the existing brick façade from the roof line to the parapets.  New roofing is a two-ply SBS-modified asphalt system with granulated cap sheet.  Removal of asbestos-containing flashing and caulking is also included in the scope of work.

Union Square includes the tear-off and re-roofing of one high-rise apartment building.  Roofing work includes removal and replacement of approximately eighty squares of existing built-up roofing.  Special coordination is required for maintaining continuous operation of the cellular phone towers mounted to the roof.   New roofing is a two-ply SBS-modified asphalt system with granulated cap sheet.
